kṣaṇapratiyogī pariṇāmāparāntanirgrāhyaḥ kramaḥ //4.33//

atrāntare pariṇāmakramaṃ pṛcchati --- atha ko+ayam iti/ kṣaṇapratiyogī pariṇāmāparāntanirgrāhyaḥ kramaḥ/ pariṇāmakramaḥ kṣaṇapratiyogī kṣaṇaḥ pratisaṃbandhī yasya sa tathoktaḥ/ kṣaṇapracayāśraya ity arthaḥ/ na jātu kramaḥ kramavantam antareṇa śakyo nirūpayitum/ na caikasyaiva kṣaṇasya kramaḥ/ tasmāt kṣaṇapracayāśrayaḥ pariśiṣyate/ tad idam āha --- kṣaṇānantaryeti/ pariṇāmakrame pramāṇam āha --- pariṇāmasyeti/ navasya hi vastrasya prayatnasaṃrakṣitasyāpi cireṇa purāṇatā dṛśyate/ so+ayaṃ pariṇāmasyāparāntaḥ paryavasānaṃ, tena hi pariṇāmasya kramaḥ/ tataḥ prāg api purāṇatāyāḥ sūkṣmasūkṣmatarasūkṣmatamasthūlasthūlatarasthūlatamatvādīnāṃ paurvāparyam anumīyate/ etad eva vyatirekamukhena (vyatirekamukheṇa) darśayati --- na hīti/ ananubhūto+aprāptaḥ kramakṣaṇo yayā sā tathoktā/ nanv eṣa kramaḥ pradhānasya na saṃbhavati tasya nityatvād ity ata āha --- 204 nityeṣu ceti/ bahuvacanena sarvanityavyāpitāṃ kramasya pratijānīte/ tatra nityānāṃ prakārabhedaṃ darśayitvā nityavyāpitāṃ kramasyopapādayati --- dvayīti/ nanu kūṭasthaṃ svabhāvād apracyutam astu nityaṃ pariṇāmi sadaiva svarūpāc cyavamānaṃ kathaṃ nityam ity ata āha --- yasminn iti/ dharmalakṣaṇāvasthānām udayavyayadharmatvaṃ dharmiṇas tu tattvād avighāta eveti/ atha kiṃ pariṇāmāparāntanirgrāhyatā sarvatra kramasya nety āha --- tatra guṇadharmeṣu buddhyādiṣv iti/ yato labdhaparyavasāno dharmāṇāṃ vināśāt pradhānasya tu pariṇāmakramo na labdhaparyavasānaḥ/ nanu pradhānasya dharmarūpeṇa pariṇāmād astu pariṇāmakramaḥ/ puruṣasya tv apariṇāminaḥ kutaḥ pariṇāmakrama ity ata āha --- kūṭastheti/ tatra baddhānāṃ cittāvyatirekābhimānāt tatpariṇāmena pariṇāmādhyāsaḥ/ muktānāṃ cāstikriyām upādāyāvāstavo+api pariṇāmo mohakalpitaḥ śabdasya puraḥsaratayā tatpṛṣṭho vikalpo 'stikriyām upādatta iti/ guṇeṣv alabdhaparyavasānaḥ pariṇāmakrama ity uktam/ tad asahamānaḥ pṛcchati --- atheti/ sthityeti mahāpralayāvasthāyām/ gatyeti sṛṣṭau/ etad uktaṃ bhavati --- yady ānantyān na pariṇāmasamāptiḥ saṃsārasya hanta bhoḥ kathaṃ mahāpralayasamaye sarveṣām ātmanāṃ sahasā samucchidyeta kathaṃ ca sṛṣṭyādau sahasotpadyeta saṃsāraḥ/ tasmād ekaikasyātmano muktikrameṇa sarveṣāṃ vimokṣād ucchedaḥ sarveṣāṃ saṃsārasya krameṇeti pradhānapariṇāmakramaparisamāptiḥ/ evaṃ ca pradhānasyāpy 205 anityatvaprasaṅgaḥ/ na cāpūrvasattvaprādurbhāva iṣyate yenānantyaṃ syāt/ tathā saty anāditvavyāhateḥ sakalaśāstrārthabhaṅgaprasaṅga iti bhāvaḥ/ uttaram āha --- avacanīyam anuttarārham etat/ ekāntata etasyāvacanīyatāṃ darśayitum ekāntavacanīyaṃ praśnaṃ darśayati asti praśna iti/ sarvo jāto mariṣyatīti praśnottaram --- oṃ bho iti/ satyaṃ bho ity arthaḥ/ avibhajya vacanīyam uktvā pravibhajya vacanīyaṃ praśnam āha --- atha sarva iti/ vibhajya vacanīyatām āha --- vibhajyeti/ vibhajya vacanīyam eva praśnāntaraṃ vispaṣṭārtham āha --- tathā manuṣyeti/ ayaṃ tv avacanīya ekāntataḥ/ na hi sāmānyena kuśalākuśalapuruṣasaṃsārasyāntavattvam anantavattvaṃ vā śakyam ekāntato vaktum/ yathā prāṇabhṛnmātrasya śreyastvam aśreyastvaṃ vā naikāntataḥ śakyam avadhārayitum/ yathā jātamātrasya maraṇam ekāntataḥ/ vibhajya punaḥ śakyāvadhāraṇam ity āha --- kuśalasyeti/ ayam abhisaṃdhiḥ --- krameṇa mokṣe sarveṣāṃ mokṣāt saṃsāroccheda ity anumānaṃ, tac cāgamasiddhamokṣāśrayaṃ, tathā cābhyupagatamokṣapratipādakāgamapramāṇabhāvaḥ kathaṃ tam evāgamaṃ pradhānavikāranityatāyām apramāṇīkuryāt/ tasmād āgamabādhitaviṣayam etad anumānaṃ na pramāṇam/ śrūyate hi śrutismṛtītihāsapurāṇeṣu sargapratisargaparamparāyā anāditvam anantatvaṃ ceti/ api ca sarveṣām evātmanāṃ saṃsārasya na tāvad yugapaducchedaḥ saṃbhavī/ na hi paṇḍitarūpāṇām apy anekajanmaparamparābhyāsapariśramasādhyā vivekakhyātipratiṣṭhā/ kiṃ punaḥ prāṇabhṛnmātrasya sthāvarajaṅgamāder ekadākasmād bhavitum arhati/ na ca kāraṇāyaugapadye kāryayaugapadyaṃ yujyate/ krameṇa tu vivekakhyātāv asaṃkhyeyānāṃ krameṇa muktau na saṃsārocchedo+anantatvāj jantūnām asaṃkhyeyatvād iti sarvam avadātam //4.33// 206
