na tat svābhāsaṃ dṛśyatvāt //4.19//

atra vaināśikam utthāpayati --- syād āśaṅketi/ ayam arthaḥ --- syād etad evaṃ yadi cittam ātmano viṣayaḥ syāt, api tu svaprakāśam etad viṣayābhāsaṃ pūrvacittaṃ pratītya samutpannaṃ tat kutaḥ puruṣasya sadājñātaviṣayatvaṃ kutastarāṃ vāpariṇāmitayā pariṇāminaś cittād bheda iti/ na tat svābhāsaṃ dṛśyatvāt/ bhaved etad evaṃ yadi svasaṃvedanaṃ cittaṃ syān na tv etad asti/ tad dhi pariṇāmitayā nīlādivad anubhavavyāpyaṃ yac cānubhavavyāpyaṃ na tat svābhāsaṃ bhavitum arhati svātmani vṛttivirodhāt/ na hi tad eva kriyā ca karmakārakaṃ ca/ na hi pākaḥ pacyate chidā vā chidyate/ puruṣas tv apariṇāmī nānubhavakarmeti nāsmin svayaṃprakāśatā na yujyate/ aparādhīnaprakāśatā hy asya svayaṃprakāśatā nānubhavakarmatā/ tasmād dṛśyatvād darśanakarma cittaṃ na svābhāsam/ ātmaprakāśapratibimbatayaiva cittasya tadvṛttiviṣayāḥ prakāśanta iti bhāvaḥ/ nanu dṛśyo+agniḥ svayaṃprakāśaś ca/ na hi yathā ghaṭādayo+agninā vyajyanta evam agnir agnyantareṇety ata āha --- na cāgnir atreti/ kasmāt/ na hīti/ mā nāmāgnir agnyantarāt prakāśiṣṭa vijñānāt tu prakāśata iti na svayaṃ prakāśata iti na vyabhicāra ity arthaḥ/ 194 prakāśaś cāyam iti/ ayam iti puruṣasvabhāvāt prakāśād vyavacchinatti, kriyārūpaḥ prakāśa iti yāvat/ etad uktaṃ bhavati --- yā yā kriyā sā sā sarvā kartṛkaraṇakarmasaṃbandhena dṛṣṭā/ yathā pāko dṛṣṭaś caitrāgnitaṇḍulasaṃbandhena yathā vā prakāśanam/ tathā ca prakāśo+api kriyeti tayāpi tathā bhavitavyam/ saṃbandhaś ca bhedāśrayo nābhede saṃbhavatīty arthaḥ/ kiṃ ca svābhāsaṃ cittam ity agrāhyam eva kasyacid iti śabdārthaḥ/ syād etat/ mā bhūd grāhyaṃ cittam/ na hi grahaṇasyākāraṇasyāvyāpakasya ca nivṛttau cittanivṛttir ity ata āha --- svabuddhīti/ buddhiś cittaṃ, pracārā vyāpārāḥ, sattvāḥ prāṇinaḥ, cittasya vṛttibhedāḥ krodhalobhādayaḥ svāśrayeṇa cittena svaviṣayeṇa ca saha pratyātmam anubhūyamānāś cittasyāgrāhyatāṃ vighaṭayantīty arthaḥ/ svabuddhipracārapratisaṃvedanam eva viśadayati --- kruddho 'ham iti //4.19//
