kṛtārthaṃ prati naṣṭam apy anaṣṭaṃ tadanyasādhāraṇatvāt //2.22//

nanv atyantānupalabhyaṃ kathaṃ na vinaśyatīty āśayavān pṛcchati --- kasmād iti/ sūtreṇottaram āha --- kṛtārthaṃ prati naṣṭam apy anaṣṭaṃ tadanyasādhāraṇatvāt/ kṛto+artho yasya puruṣasya sa tathā/ taṃ prati naṣṭam apy anaṣṭaṃ tad dṛśyaṃ kutaḥ sarvān puruṣān kuśalān akuśalān prati sādhāraṇatvāt/ vyācaṣṭe --- kṛtārtham ekam iti/ nāśo 'darśanam/ anaṣṭaṃ tu dṛśyam anyapuruṣasādhāraṇatvāt/ tasmād dṛśyāt parasyātmanaś caitanyaṃ rūpaṃ tena tad iha śrutismṛtītihāsapurāṇaprasiddham avyaktam anavayavam ekam anāśrayaṃ vyāpi nityaṃ viśvakāryaśaktimat/ yady api kuśalena taṃ prati kṛtakāryaṃ na dṛśyate tathāpy akuśalena dṛśyamānaṃ na nāsti/ na hi rūpam andhena na dṛśyata iti cakṣuṣmatāpi dṛśyamānam abhāvaprāptaṃ bhavati/ na ca pradhānavad eka eva puruṣas tannānātvasya janmamaraṇasukhaduḥkhopabhogamuktisaṃsāravyavasthayā siddheḥ/ ekatvaśrutīnāṃ ca pramāṇāntaravirodhāt kathaṃcid deśakālavibhāgābhāvena bhaktyāpy upapatteḥ/ prakṛtyekatvapuruṣanānātvayoś ca śrutyaiva sākṣāt pratipādanāt/ 90

"ajām ekāṃ lohitaśuklakṛṣṇāṃ bahvīḥ prajāḥ sṛjamānāṃ sarūpāḥ/ ajo hy eko juṣamāṇo+anuśete jahāty enāṃ bhuktabhogām ajo+anyaḥ" taittirīyāraṇyakam 6.10 iti śrutiḥ/

asyā eva śruteś cānena sūtreṇārtho+anūdita iti/ yato dṛśyaṃ naṣṭam apy anaṣṭaṃ puruṣāntaraṃ praty asti ato dṛgdarśanaśaktyor nityatvād anādiḥ saṃyogo vyākhyātaḥ/ atraivāgaminām anumatim āha --- tathā coktam iti/ dharmiṇāṃ guṇānām ātmabhir anādisaṃyogād dharmamātrāṇāṃ mahadādīnām apy anādiḥ saṃyoga iti/ ekaikasya mahadādeḥ saṃyogo+anādir apy anitya eva yady api tathāpi sarveṣāṃ mahadādīnāṃ nityaḥ puruṣāntarāṇāṃ sādhāraṇatvād ata uktaṃ dharmamātrāṇām iti/ mātragrahaṇena vyāptiṃ gamayati/ ata etad bhavati --- yady apy ekasya mahataḥ saṃyogo+atītatām āpannas tathāpi mahadantarasya puruṣāntareṇa saṃyogo nātīta iti nitya uktaḥ //2.22//
