3.11: saṃkhyāsamuddeśa
3.11.1 saṃkhyāvān sattvabhūto+arthaḥ sarva evābhidhīyate
bhedābhedavibhāgo hi loke saṃkhyānibandhanaḥ
3.11.2 sa dharmo vyatirikto vā teṣāṃ ātmaiva vā tathā
bhedahetutvam āśritya saṃkhyeti vyapadiśyate
3.11.3 samavetā paricchedye kva cid anyatra sā sthitā
prakalpayati bhāvānāṃ saṃkhyā bhedaṃ tathātmanaḥ
3.11.4 paratve cāparatve ca bhede tulyā śrutir yathā
saṃkhyāśabdābhidheyatvaṃ bhedahetos tathā guṇe
3.11.5 asvatantre svatantratvaṃ paradharmo yathā guṇe
abhedye bhedyabhāvo+api dravyadharmas tathā guṇe
3.11.6 svabuddhyā tam apoddhṛtya loko+apy āgamam āśritaḥ
svadharmād anyadharmeṇa vyācaṣṭe pratipattaye
3.11.7 paropakāratattvānāṃ svātantryenābhidhāyakaḥ
śabdaḥ sarvapadārthānā svadharmad viprakṛṣyate
3.11.8 yathaivāviṣayaṃ jñānaṃ na kiṃ cid avabhāsate
tathā bhāvo+apy asaṃsṛṣṭo na kaś cid upalabhyate
3.11.9 bhedena tu samākhyātaṃ yal loko+apy anuvartate
āgamāc chāstrasadṛśo vyavahāraḥ sa varṇyate
3.11.10 buddhau sthiteṣu teṣv evam adhyāropo na durlabhaḥ
paradharmasya na hy atra sadasattvaṃ prayojakam
3.11.11 sāmānyeṣv api sāmānyaṃ viśeṣeṣu viśiṣṭatā
saṃkhyāsu saṃkhyā liṅgeṣu liṅgam evaṃ prakalpate
3.11.12 ato dravyāśritāṃ saṃkhyām āhuḥ saṃsargavādinaḥ
bhedābhedavyatīteṣu bhedābhedavidhāyinīm
3.11.13 ātmāntarānāṃ yenātmā tadrūpa iva lakṣyate
atadrūpeṇa saṃsargāt sā nimittasarūpatā
3.11.14 saṃsṛṣṭeṣv api nirbhāge bhūteṣv arthakriyā yathā
sattvādiṣu ca mātrāsu sarvāsv evaṃ pratīyate
3.11.15 dvitvādiyonir ekatvaṃ bhedās tatpūrvakā yataḥ
vinā tena na saṃkhyānām anyāsām asti saṃbhavaḥ
3.11.16 ekatve buddhisahite nimittaṃ dvitvajanmani
ekatvābhyāṃ samutpannam evaṃ vā tat pratīyate
3.11.17 ekatvasamudāyo vā sāpekṣe vā pṛthak pṛthak
ekatve dvitvam ity evaṃ tayor dvivacanaṃ bhavet
3.11.18 eko+api guṇabhedena saṅgho bhedaṃ prakalpayet
āśrayāśrayibhedo hi tadāśrayanibandhanaḥ
3.11.19 saṃkhyeyasaṅghasaṃkhyāna- saṅghaḥ saṃkhyeti kathyate
vimśatyādisu sānyasva dravyasaṅghasya bhedikā
3.11.20 ekaviṃśatisaṃkhvāvāṃ saṃkhyāntarasarūpayoḥ
ekasyāṃ buddhyanāvṛttyā, bhāgayor iva kalpanā
3.11.21 asaṃkhyāsamudāyatvāt saṃkhyākāryaṃ vidhīyate
samūhatve tu tan na syāt svāṅgādisamudāyavat
3.11.22 saṃkhyeyāntaratantrāsu yā saṃkhyāsu pravartate
āvṛttivargasaṃkhyeyā tāṃ saṃkhyāṃ tādṛśīṃ viduḥ
3.11.23 na saṃkhyāyāṃ na saṃkhyeye dvau daśety asti saṃbhavaḥ
bhedābhāvān na saṃkhyāyāṃ virodhān na tadāśraye
3.11.24 saṃkhyāyete daśadvargau dvidaśā iti saṃkhyayā
tadrūpe vāpi saṃkhyeya āvṛttiḥ parigaṇyate
3.11.25 saṃkhyā nāma na saṃkhyāsti saṃjñaiṣeti yathocyate
rūpaṃ na rūpam apy evaṃ samjñā sā hi sitādiṣu
3.11.26 saṃkhyānajātiyogāt tu saṃkhyā saṃkhyeti kathyate
rūpatvajātiyogāc ca rūpe rūpam iti smṛtam
3.11.27 nimittam ekam ity atra vibhaktyā nābhidhīyate
tadvatas tu yad ekatvaṃ vibhaktis tatra vartate
3.11.28 ekasya pracayo dṛṣṭaḥ samūhaś ca dvayos tathā
nimittavyatirekeṇa saṃkhyānyā bhedikā tataḥ
3.11.29 tad ekam api caikatvaṃ vibhaktiśravaṇād ṛte
nocyate tena śabdena vibhaktyā tu sahocyate
3.11.30 anvayavyatirekau ca yadi syād vacanāntaram
syātām asati tasmimś ca prakṛtyartho na kalpyate
3.11.31 ekatvam eka ity atra śuddhadravyaviśeṣaṇam
saguṇas tu prakṛtyartho vibhaktyarthena bhidyate
3.11.32 dvyekayor iti nirdeśāt saṃkhyāmātre+api saṃbhavaḥ
ekādīnāṃ prasiddhyā tu saṃkhyeyārthatvam ucyate
