vyutthānanirodhasaṃskārayor abhibhavaprādurbhāvau nirodhakṣaṇacittānvayo nirodhapariṇāmaḥ //3.9//

pariṇāmatrayasaṃyamād ity atropayokṣyamāṇapariṇāmatrayaṃ pratipipādayiṣur nirbījaprasaṅgena pṛcchati --- atheti/ vyutthānasaṃprajñātayoś cittasya sphuṭatarapariṇāmabhedapracayānubhavān na praśnāvatāro nirodhe tu nānubhūyate pariṇāmaḥ/ na cānanubhūyamāno nāsti, cittasya triguṇatayā calatvena guṇānāṃ kṣaṇam apy apariṇāmasyāsaṃbhavād ity arthaḥ/ praśnottaraṃ sūtram --- vyutthānanirodhasaṃskārayor abhibhavaprādurbhāvau nirodhakṣaṇacittānvayo nirodhapariṇāmaḥ/ asaṃprajñātaṃ samādhim apekṣya saṃprajñāto vyutthānam/ nirudhyate 'neneti nirodho jñānaprasādaḥ paraṃ vairāgyaṃ tayor vyutthānanirodhasaṃskārayor abhibhavaprādurbhāvau/ tatra vyutthānasaṃskārasyābhibhavo nirodhasaṃskārasyāvirbhāvaś cittasya dharmiṇo nirodhakṣaṇasya nirodhāvasarasya dvayor avasthayor anvayaḥ/ na hi cittaṃ dharmi saṃprajñātāvasthāyām asaṃprajñātāvasthāyāṃ ca saṃskārābhibhavaprādurbhāvayoḥ svarūpeṇa bhidyata iti/ nanu yathottare kleśā avidyāmūlā avidyānivṛttau nivartanta iti na tu tannivṛttau pṛthak prayatnāntaram āsthīyata evaṃ vyutthānapratyayamūlāḥ saṃskārā vyutthānapratyayanivṛttāv eva 122 nivartanta iti tannivṛttau na nirodhasaṃskāro+apekṣitavya ity ata āha --- vyutthānasaṃskārā iti/ na kāraṇamātranivṛttiḥ kāryanivṛttihetur mā bhūt kuvindanivṛttāv api paṭasya nivṛttir api tu yatkāraṇātmakaṃ yatkāryaṃ tatkāraṇanivṛttau tatkāryanivṛttiḥ/ uttare ca kleśā avidyātmāna ity uktam atas tannivṛttau teṣāṃ nivṛttir upapannā/ na tv evaṃ pratyayātmānaḥ saṃskārāś ciraniruddhe pratyaye saṃprati smaraṇadarśanāt/ tasmāt pratyayanivṛttāv api tannivṛttau nirodhasaṃskārapracaya evopāsanīya ity arthaḥ/ sugamam anyat //3.9//
