śāntoditāvyapadeśyadharmānupātī dharmī //3.14//

yasyaiṣa trividhaḥ pariṇāmas taṃ dharmiṇaṃ sūtreṇa lakṣayati --- tatra --- śāntoditāvyapadeśyadharmānupātī dharmī/ dharmo+asyāstīti dharmīti nāvijñāte dharme sa śakyo jñātum iti dharmaṃ darśayati --- yogyateti/ dharmiṇo dravyasya mṛdādeḥ śaktir eva cūrṇapiṇḍaghaṭādyutpattiśaktir eva dharmas teṣāṃ tatrāvyaktatvena bhāva iti yāvat/ nanv evam avyaktatayā santas te tataḥ prādurbhavantu/ udakāharaṇādayas tu taiḥ svakāraṇād anāsāditāḥ kutaḥ prāptā ity ata uktaṃ --- yogyatāvacchinneti/ yo+asau ghaṭādīnām utpattiśaktiḥ sodakāharaṇādiyogyatāvacchinnā, tenodakāharaṇādayo+api ghaṭādibhiḥ svakāraṇād eva prāptā iti nākasmikā iti bhāvaḥ/ athavā ke dharmiṇa ity atrottaraṃ --- yogyatāvacchinnā dharmiṇa iti/ ko dharma ity atrottaraṃ śaktir eva dharmas teṣāṃ yogyataiva dharma ity arthaḥ/ atas tadvān dharmīti siddhaṃ bhavati/ tatsadbhāve pramāṇam āha --- sa ca phalaprasavabhedānumita ekasya dharmiṇo+anyaś cānyaś ca cūrṇapiṇḍaghaṭādirūpa ity arthaḥ/ kāryabhedadarśanāc ca bhinna iti yāvat/ paridṛṣṭa upalabdhaḥ/ tatrānubhavārohiṇo vartamānasya mṛtpiṇḍasya śāntāvyapadeśyābhyāṃ mṛccūrṇamṛdghaṭābhyāṃ bhedam āha --- tatra vartamāna iti/ yadi na bhidyeta piṇḍavac cūrṇaghaṭayor api tadvad eva svavyāpāravyāptiprasaṅga iti bhāvaḥ/ avyaktasya tu piṇḍasya noktaṃ bhedasādhanaṃ saṃbhavatīty āha --- yadā tv iti/ ko+asau kena bhedasādhanena bhidyeteti/ 132 tad evaṃ dharmāṇāṃ bhedasādhanam abhidhāya taṃ bhedaṃ vibhajate --- tatra ye khalv iti/ uditā iti vartamānā ity arthaḥ/ adhvanāṃ paurvāparyaṃ niyamayati --- te ceti/ codayati --- kimartham iti/ kiṃnimittam atītasyānantarā na bhavanti vartamānāḥ/ hetum āha siddhāntī --- pūrvapaścimatāyā abhāvāt/ viṣayeṇa viṣayiṇīm anupalabdhiṃ sūcayati/ anupalambham evopalambhavaidharmyeṇa darśayati --- yathānāgatavartamānayor iti/ upasaṃharati --- tat tasmād anāgata eva samanantaraḥ pūrvatvena bhavati vartamānasya nātītaḥ/ atītasya vartamānaḥ pūrvatvena samanantaro nāvyapadeśyaḥ/ tasmād adhvanāṃ yaviṣṭho+atīta iti siddham/ syād etad anubhūyamānānubhūtatayoditātītau śakyāv unnetum avyapadeśyās tu punar dharmā avyapadeśyatayaivaṃ śakyā nonnetum ity āśayavān pṛcchati --- athāvyapadeśyāḥ ke keṣu samīkṣāmahe/ atrottaram āha --- sarvaṃ sarvātmakam iti/ yatroktam iti/ tad evopapādayati --- jalabhūmyor iti/ jalasya hi rasarūpasparśaśabdavato bhūmeś ca gandharasarūpasparśaśabdavatyāḥ pāriṇāmikaṃ vanaspatilatāgulmādiṣu mūlaphalaprasavapallavādigatarasādivaiśvarūpyaṃ dṛṣṭam/ so+ayam anevamātmikāyā bhūmer anīdṛśasya vā jalasya na pariṇāmo bhavitum arhati/ upapāditaṃ hi nāsad utpadyata iti/ tathā sthāvarāṇāṃ pāriṇāmikaṃ jaṅgameṣu manuṣyapaśumṛgādiṣu rasādivaicitryaṃ dṛṣṭam/ upayuñjānā hi te phalādīni rūpādibhedasaṃpadam āsādayanti/ evaṃ jaṅgamānāṃ pāriṇāmikaṃ sthāvareṣu dṛṣṭam/ rudhirāvasekāt kila dāḍimīphalāni 133 tālaphalamātrāṇi bhavanti/ upasaṃharati --- evaṃ sarvaṃ jalabhūmyādi sarvarasādyātmakam/ tatra hetum āha --- jātyanucchedena jalatvabhūmitvādijāteḥ sarvatra pratyabhijñāyamānatvenānucchedāt/ nanu sarvaṃ cet sarvātmakaṃ hanta bhoḥ sarvasya sarvadā sarvatra sarvathā saṃnidhānāt samānakālaṃ bhāvānāṃ vyaktiḥ prasajyeta, na khalu saṃnihitāvikalakāraṇaṃ kāryaṃ vilambitum arhatīty ata āha --- deśakāleti/ yady api kāraṇaṃ sarvaṃ sarvātmakaṃ tathāpi yo yasya kāryasya deśo yathā kuṅkumasya kāśmīraḥ/ teṣāṃ sattve+api pāñcālādiṣu na samudācāra iti na kuṅkumasya pāñcālādiṣv abhivyaktiḥ/ evaṃ nidāghe na prāvṛṣaḥ samudācāra iti na tadā śālīnām/ evaṃ na mṛgī manuṣyaṃ prasūte na tasyāṃ manuṣyākārasamudācāra iti/ evaṃ nāpuṇyavān sukharūpaṃ bhuṅkte na tasmin puṇyanimittasya samudācāra iti/ tasmād deśakālākāranimittānām apabandhād apagamān na samānakālam ātmanāṃ bhāvānām abhivyaktir iti/ tad evaṃ dharmān vibhajya teṣu dharmiṇo+anugamaṃ darśayati --- ya eteṣv iti/ sāmānyaṃ dharmirūpaṃ viśeṣo dharmas tadātmobhayātmaka ity arthaḥ/ tad evam anugataṃ dharmiṇaṃ darśayitvā tam anicchato vaināśikasya kṣaṇikaṃ vijñānamātraṃ cittam icchato+aniṣṭaprasaṅgam uktaṃ smārayati --- yasya tv iti/ vastupratyabhijñānāc ceti/ na hi devadattena dṛṣṭaṃ yajñadattaḥ pratyabhijānāti/ tasmād yaś cānubhavitā sa eva pratyabhijñāteti //3.14//
